Augusta's Great Golf Tournament!

Sunday’s final round of the Master’s was the most incredible tournament I’ve watched in many years! These golfers are the BEST in the world, battling nerves, disappointments, highs and lows. The afternoon was filled with great successes as well as several agonizing missed shots.

I was cheering for Phil Mickelson and Kenny Perry, since they were underdogs. The pressure of winning the Green jacket has to be a pressure that you and I will NEVER experience. They did their best, but did not win. We face the same daunting task in today’s economic environment. These are scary times and unchartered waters for most of us. But, like Angel Cabrera did yesterday, we must persevere if we want to win!

One note about Angel Cabrera, the 2009 Master’s Champion will surprise you. His family was so poor when he was a young boy, that he had to drop out of elementary school so that he could work and help his family survive. They say that tough times teach us lessons. The lesson Mr. Cabrera learned early on was to keep trying, no matter how desperate things look. Persevere, have faith in yourself, NEVER give up, do your best and sooner or later, the one who wins, is the one who thinks they can.

Work smart, work hard and look ahead to your long-term goals!
