Vicki Wood Against All Odds

What a great week! I visited my grandmother at an event at Daytona Beach, Florida. It was a reunion of drivers and their race cars from the 1950s and 1960s. Grandma Vicki was a racer during those years, inspiring others to go after their goals as she raced against men! She did have quite a lead (heavy) foot, which explains my need for speed! She still holds speed records on the beach course. 150 mph! That’s amazing!

It’s great to see her smiling, walking around signing autographs, enjoying the multiple interviews and seeing her racing pals from 50 years ago. She’s still an inspiration, has her health, great spirit and still wearing her signature scarf! Go after your goals, with passion, conviction and discipline!
