Walking across hot coals to overcome FEAR and get inspired

What a great night at the Sheraton hotel in Framingham! Last night I hosted our monthly Firewalk for 45 sales executives who wanted to be inspired while overcoming a great fear of being burned. Yes, the coals are 1200-2000 degrees as they are delivered from the bonfire, just seconds away from our walking path. 12 different countries were represented, from Russia to South America to USA, yet they all spoke the same language with their eyes when the Firewalk path was covered with burning hot coals. “We’re going to do what?”

Everyone crossed the 15 foot walk of hot coals, and the enthusiasm and cheers was enough to inspire anyone within earshot! I always find it interesting to begin a presentation in front of complete strangers and within an hour later, have these enthusiastic, passionate people shaking my hand and giving me high fives with sincere passion and gratitude. to read more

I absolutely enjoy hosting these Firewalks during this economy. It makes you forget how miserable many people are feeling, how many are unemployed and how much whackiness is happening around the globe. For nearly two hours, we are enjoying inspiring stories, sharing memorable moments and having fun as we overcome F E A R (false evidence appearing real). It’s a welcome break from reality and probably something that more people and organizations should try. No matter how challenging things can get, the most successful people have an attitude of “Take on Life”!

Go for it, expand beyond your self-imposed limits. Go after your goals as if you could not fail. You have nothing to lose! Have as much fun as possible. You can’t control the economy, the weather or other people, but you are in complete control of your attitude, daily activities and whom you surround yourself with. Give life your best!
