“Daddy, you are the only one who tells me how smart I am, how I’ll be President of my own company someday and how beautiful I am. I always enjoy being with you!”
WOW, you can imagine how I felt after hearing those sincere words. It made me wonder, after she went to sleep, just how much of an impact our words have on others. Not only that, but what about the conversations we have in our own mind during the day? I’ve made it a habit to speak kindly to others as well as myself. Remember one of the lessons we learned from our parents. “If you can’t say anything kind to or about someone, then just don’t say anything.”
Over the next 36 hours, notice how you speak to those you encounter during your day. Did you help them smile, share a sincere compliment and make their day? Or are you just another negative person who’s self-absorbed and negative about the world and economy? My guess is, since you are reading on my website, you’ve made someone feel great and enthused after talking with you.
Go ahead and make someone’s day!! All the best to you! Neil
